Subpoenas

MLR offers an efficient and inexpensive subpoena service for record depositions during discovery. All subpoenas are prepared and issued in accordance with the rules of the presiding court. Written notice is sent to all counsel enclosing copies of the subpoena(s). As requesting counsel, your office will receive a letter confirming receipt of your order along with file copies of the subpoenas issued. We will also take care of filing documents with the court when required. Subpoenas are served on the Record Custodian and arrangements are made to collect the requested materials.

Plaintiff/Claimant Authorization

An authorization is a document consenting to the release of personal information. Upon receipt of a signed, HIPAA-compliant authorization, MLR will contact the record custodian to determine the availability of the desired information. Our customer service representatives will proceed to make arrangements to obtain the requested documents. If an authorization is not available, MLR will contact counsel directly to secure a signature on our HIPAA-compliant Authorization Form.

Expedited Orders

MLR personnel are experienced and knowledgeable with numerous States' Civil Rules and the policies and procedures of record custodians. Counsel Waivers regarding time restraints will be obtained. Record custodians are immediately contacted to make arrangements to secure the documents in the most expedient manner.

Process Service

MLR will hand serve your Subpoenas for Depositions requiring personal appearance. They are prepared and properly served with the proper witness fee enclosed. Notice of the subpoena is forwarded to all counsel and required court filing will be completed. A signed return of service will be provided for your records.

Bates Stamp Coding

The process of Bates Stamp Coding puts a unique number on each document in your record. This makes it easy to identify individual documents quickly.

Scanning and Imaging

So many things are easier with a document scanned to PDF or OCR. PDF will let you review documents without making changes on them. An OCR image will allow you to make changes or annotations directly on the document image. Decide what you need and let us know. That two-drawer case file or court presentation can quickly be transformed to a set of CD Rom files that can be held in one hand. Let us know what you need. Speed and accuracy is what you can expect from MLR.
